The toilet paper roll craft – a funny, interesting, and colorful activity that anyone can master. It is possible to create different organizers, useful household stuff, figurines, puppets, and toys from such rolls.
How to convert toilet paper rolls into the animals
If you are interested in creating animals by yourself, here are several paper roll craft ideas.
Vivid bunny. Wrap the roll with a colorful paper or fabric. Cut out the bunny ears and the paws from the cardboard; glue them to the prepared roll. Add the beads instead of eyes, the button as the nose, and several thread-mustaches under the button. Choose the matching colors and use the same color for ears, paws, and nose.
Elegant penguin. Create a black roll (use the fabric, paper or paint). Cut out the 8-shaped front part from the white paper. The upper part has to be smaller than the lower one. Glue it to the black roll, add button-eyes, paper beak, wings, and feet made from cardboard/paper. A tie bow for a boy and a hair bow for a girl will add more elegance.
Pretty butterfly. Decorate the roll with a paper, fabric or paint. Cut out the wings from the cardboard and join them to the roll. Add eyes and antennas. Use some glitter to make your butterfly look brightly.
Nice-looking caterpillar. Split the roll into several wide rings. The more rings you have the longer caterpillar you will have. Make them green outside and any other color inside. Glue them in a row, put one ring on top of the first one. Add the eyes, mouth, and two tentacles.
Funny octopus. Wrap or paint the roll; cut the bottom part into the strips to get the eight tentacles. Bend the tentacles to the outside, add the eyes, mouth, and decorate with some glitter, sequins, or any other bright elements.
Amusing frog. Make the green roll; cut out from the green paper four legs and two circles for the eyes. Glue the rear legs to the sides, and the front legs to the front of the roll. Paint or glue the eyes, nostrils, and mouth.
Friendly bear. Cut out the four paws (2 smaller and 2 bigger) and the ears. Glue the bigger paws to the lower front side, the smaller ones near to the middle, and the ears to the upper part. Paint the eyes, nose, and mouth in the upper part of the roll.
Awesome deer. Split one roll into two parts, make one hole on the one side of the cut roll and two holes on the opposite side. Take the whole roll, make four holes on the one side, and one hole on the opposite side. Insert four small tree branches into the four holes to get the legs, two branches into the two holes to get the horns; connect those two parts with one more branch.
Surprised owl. Cut out two semicircles from the top of the roll to get the ear tufts. Decorate the roll with paint, paper or fabric, glue the orange beak, the wings (semicircles that you cut before), and the big, round eyes.
Sly snake. Paint or decorate the roll and cut it into the spring. Add two eyes and a long tongue at the beginning.
