How To Make A Paper Bird

Children are very fond of making paper crafts of animals and birds, because they can also play with them afterwards. However, it is necessary to select different crafts for different age groups by level of difficulty. In this article you will learn how to make a paper bird without special schemes for children of different ages.

You will need:

• colored paper;
• colored cardboard with a pattern;
• scissors;
• glue;
• template of the bird’s trunk.

Cut two details from the cardboard according to the template. Only the second detail should be encircled, reversing the pattern face down.

Glue both details together, using non-colored sides. Cut out 2 rectangles from the colored paper with dimensions 7,5 cm x 10 cm - 3 x 4“ (tail) and 10 cm x 12,5 cm – 4 x 5“ (wings). Fold both into the fan, making a bend in 1 cm (0,5“). Merge them with the glue in the middle, so they will not split up.

Make a cut in the beginning of the tail and in the middle of the bird’s trunk and insert the workpieces of wings and the tail into them. Additionally glue the lateral sides to the trunk near the tail.

The paper bird is ready.
