How To Make Incense Sticks

It is the most difficult to make incense sticks, probably, because they need long time for impregnation and drying and a special basis. To make 20 incense sticks the following will be necessary for you:

• 20 pieces of thin sticks 28 cm long everyone (it is desirable, special sticks bases);
• 12 ml of oil base or dipropylene glycol;
• 6 ml of aroma oil or mixes of ingredients;
• 1 glass test tube of 25x250 mm.;
• 2 pipettes;
• holder for a test tube;
• marker;
• dryer (non-automatic, usual for linen).

Carefully wash up and dry up a test tube, and then pour out oil base by means of a pipette there. Note liquid level in a test tube a marker.

Add aroma oil. Here to turn out a ratio 1:2, but depending on the chosen aroma and its intensity, it is possible to change it (1:1 or even 1:3).

Shake up test tube contents, having closed it neck with a finger.

Put in a stick test tube (reinforced part down). Mix will cover only a quarter of length of sticks, but during an infusion it will impregnate all reinforced part.

On the expiration of three days pull out sticks and spread out them on the dryer. Don't put it under direct sunshine.

To check whether sticks have enough dried, blot them with a paper towel; if it damp, it is necessary to wait still.

On average it can borrow even days. After that put sticks in a package or a box where you will store them, or at once put on a support and light.
