How To Cook Goose

Baked goose is usually served with apples and greenery. Boiled potatoes as a garnish will do nicely. You can also add some cranberry sauce. This dish is good with red wine. Made in baking oven it is tender and delicious.

You will need the following:

  • one goose;
  • one lemon;
  • five garlic pieces;
  • salt;
  • pepper;
  • bay leaf.

Step 1. Wash the goose and remove all the insides.

Step 2. Dry the goose, rub some salt and spices all over it as well as from inside. Then put it aside for a night at best.

Step 3. Peel the garlic and cut it in pieces. Then make small cuts in the meat and put the garlic and lemon pieces in there. Put some garlic and bay leaf inside.

Step 4. You can also stuff the goose with apples. Stitch the goose’s belly and put it on a baking tray with its back up. Put the tray with the goose into the baking oven heated up to 200 C and cook it for about three hours. Pour the fat over it from time to time.

Step 5. Leave the baked goose inside the oven for a while. Then take it out and put it on the table.
