Cooked codfish is a very healthy dish. It contains a lot of protein and few fat. It is also rich in sodium, magnesium, sulfur, and iodine as well as vitamins А and D. Moreover, codfish is quite affordable. Baked cod will be very delicious and juicy thanks to the marinade. Cooking it in the baking oven will save you a lot of time. You can use this receipe for any fish.

You will need the following:

  • cod fillets 500 g;
  • lemon juice 1 tbs;
  • vegetable oil 2 tbs;
  • garlic 1 piece;
  • salt;
  • ground black pepper;
  • dry Italian herbs.

Cooking Recipe

Wash the fillet and dry it with a paper towel.

Salt and pepper.

Prepare the marinade: blend the vegetable oil, lemon juice, pressed garlic, and the Italian herbs in a bowl.

Rub the blend all over the fillet.

Put the fillet in the bowl, cover it with the food wrap and put in the fridge for 20 minutes. Tips: fish filet has a very short shelf life. If you don’t have enough time, marinade it and put it into the fridge. Thus, you will preserve it for more than 24 hours.

Lay out the cod fillet on a baking tray and bake it in the baking oven heated to 180º С beforehand. Leave it for 25-30 minutes.

The fillet will be juicy and very tasty. It will suit to any garnish no matter if it’s groats or vegetables.
