Crochet Rug

Crocheted rugs are a nice interior decoration. They make the room particularly cozy. Following our tutorial, you can make an original DIY rug (see the photo).

You will need:

• Cotton yarn, also called spaghetti yarn.
• A crochet hook that fits your yarn.
• Scissors.
• A needle with a wide eye.

Let’s start crocheting our rug following the scheme:

The first row.

1. Take a the yarn of the basic color and make a magic ring (see the photo). Fasten the thread.

2. Crochet three chains.

3. Treble crochet around the magic ring.

4. Fasten your ring, making a stitch in the third chain.

The second row.

1. Crochet three chains.

Step 2. Treble crochet twice in each stitch of the first row.

3. Close the circle in the same way as in the first row.

The third row

1. Crochet three chains.

2. First, treble crochet twice in the first stitch of the previous row, then treble crochet once in the second stitch of the previous row, then again treble crochet twice in the third stitch of the previous row. Alternate stitches in this way until the end of the row.

3. Close the circle in the same way as in the first row.

The fourth row

1. Cast five chains.

2. Skip the first stitch of the previous row, treble crochet once in the second stitch of the previous row. Close the row in the same way as the previous one.

The fifth row.

Chain three stitches, double crochet around the fourth row and close the circle.

The sixth row.

Take a thread of another color. Chain three stitches, double crochet once, treble crochet twice.

Alternating stitches in this way until the end of the circle and close it.

The 7th row is crocheted the same way as the 4th.

The 8th row - cast on three chains, double crochet around the previous circle, close it.

The 9th row.

Change the color of the thread once again. Double crochet the previous circle. close the row.

The 10th row is crocheted the same way as the 7th.

The 11th row is crocheted the same way as the 3th.

The 12th row.

Change the thread color, cast three chains, double crochet the circle, close the row.

The 13th row is crocheted the same way as the 10th.

The 14th row.

Change the thread. It is crocheted the same way as the 12th row.

Use the thread of the same color to crochet the 15th row.

The 16th row is crocheted the same way as the 10th.

The 17th row is crocheted the same way as the 11th.

The 18th row.

Chain once, single crochet in it, skip two rows, double crochet 6 stitches.

Repeat until the end of the row. Close the row.
