How To Make Stepping Stones

Stepping stones which are laid out from separate decorative elements look very originally every year win the increasing popularity at our summer residents. And it is the best of all to make such path with one's own hands. Then except beauty in it there will be also a soul. And all this isn't difficult to make at all. We will tell all cunnings in our today's article.

Form

First of all we will note that our elements of paths can practically have any form.

The baking dishes which are on sale practically in any shop will form the best and not expensive basis for their production (it is desirable that the form wasn't narrowed to a bottom). They can have accurate geometry (a square, a rectangle, a circle, an oval) or to be romantic (butterflies, florets etc.). Also the buried plastic containers, small boxes, boxes will be suitable for storage of things. It is possible to make a form from boards or whetstones.

How To Stack

There isn't a lot of ways of laying. Most often forms stack at some distance from each other. Free spaces fill with small pebble or plant with a lawn grass.

But it is possible to stack elements and it is directly close (especially easily to square and rectangular shapes) or to create here such interesting paths:

Materials And Decor

The path elements decorated by a mosaic — one of the most popular. On them it is possible to represent practically anything, and also to enclose in them lovely to heart or memorable bagatelles.

So, let's start.

For a mosaic stack our plates and a tile in a rag bag or we cover with material and crush by means of a hammer. Sort them.

Cut out the circle corresponding to diameter of our form from a cling film, remove from it a protective paper layer and stack in a form the sticky side up. Spread mosaic elements so that their face was below (on a cling film).

Actually it is possible to do also without film, pressing mosaic elements into the tile which is already prepared, but not stiffened yet from above. Here is how in this example:

But at the offered way it is much easier to change drawing in time if suddenly that that won't be taken, plus you see in advance result which will turn out as a result.

Prepare solution and stack it on our drawing a layer about 1-1,5 cm.

Cut out a piece of the metal gauze of the size necessary to us, stack him on solution. From above cover a grid with one more layer of solution, also about 1-1,5 cm.

Leave a form to stiffen in the dry room with good ventilation. On it not less days will leave. Then, take out a ready tile from a baking dish. Remove a film from drawing. Wipe with a damp rag. If there are roughnesses, smooth them by means of an emery paper. Varnish a ready element.
