The need to make natural laundry detergent arises not only in connection with rising costs of detergents and gels in the market. The other reason for doing it is the content of harmful chemicals in the detergents which are in market. They often provoke intolerance to the washed clothes, and that is why people always search for recipes for making natural laundry detergent.
You need:
Step 1. Rub the soap on a small grater. It is very easy to rub the soap which was stored at room temperature, but if you feel that it is too soft, put it in the fridge for some time. It would be even better if you make your own soap at home. You should get such chipping after rubbing.
Step 2. Now you need a crystal soda. You can buy it in most soap making stores, but it is better to call to this store to know in advance whether the crystal soda is available. Put the crystal and baking soda in a food processor bowl and add the rubbed soap. Close the lid and turn on the food processor. The granules should be very small, otherwise the soap will remain on the fabric after rinsing. It is recommended to grind the foundation several times to get the perfect result.
Step 3. Now you are free to have an experiment. You can add a couple of tablespoons of powder detergent (to make the foam) and / or fabric softener. You can also make all the ingredients at home (if you make hypoallergic detergent for a child, for example). However, if you add the fabric softener, it will not affect the detergent’s quality. Add two tablespoons of white vinegar and mix thoroughly.
Step 4. Now you have a hand-made and eco-friendly laundry detergent! When washing in a washing machine in a single slot, you should add two or three table spoons of powder.
