How To Draw Bird Wings

To draw a wing, you need to know its structure. It’s individual for every bird, that’s why before drawing a wing, examine its structure. In our case, it will look like this.

Step 1. Draw a sketch of the wing, the wing zones described above. Click on picture to enlarge the image.

Step 2. Start to draw the shoulder feathers.

Step 3. Draw the wing coverts’ contours.

Step 4. Refine the flight feathers of the first and second rows.

Step 5. Add a second row of feather coverts.

Step 6. Refine flight feathers.

Step 7. Finish up the covert feathers.
