How To Cook Poached Eggs

It is widely believed that fried eggs or omelettes are the best options for breakfast, but poached eggs are undeservedly forgotten and remain in the background. The most likely reason for it is that few people can cook them, especially in the morning. Actually, there is nothing difficult about that, and this recipe will help you cook poached eggs!

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg;
  • 1 tablespoonful of vinegar;
  • hot water.

How To Cook Poached Eggs

First, fill a cooking pot with water and start heating it.

Break one egg into a separate bowl.

Add one tablespoonful of vinegar to the pot and stir the water. Now start making a swirl in the water by stirring water with a spoon or spatula.

As soon as the swirl is created, pour both the yolk and the white of the egg into the pot fast. If you have done everything correctly, the white should wrap the yolk, and all you need to do now is to boil the egg in hot (but not boiling) water for 4-5 minutes.

Get the poached egg out of the pot and let it dry a little bit. You can remove the excess of white with kitchen scissors.

Now put the egg on a plate or toast and serve it. Don’t forget to add some salt or pepper. As it has already been mentioned, you can use poached eggs as an ingredient for more sophisticated dishes.
