How To Cook Crawfish

Tasty flavorful hot crawfish is delicious dish. Imagine a mountain of bright-red crawfish, from which rises a fragrant steam. Sounds appetizing, isn’t it? Let’s learn how to cook delicious crawfish, how to boil them, how much time it takes, what pan to take for this purpose and what spices to use to preserve the taste, flavour and tenderness of the meat.

Ingredients:

  • crawfish 1 kg;
  • water 3 l;
  • vegetable oil ½ cup;
  • lemons ½ piece;
  • spicy red pepper 1 pcs;
  • carrot 1 pcs;
  • coriander to taste;
  • salt 4 tbsp;
  • fresh dill 1 bunch;
  • bay leaf 3 pcs;
  • black pepper peas to taste;
  • onion 1 pcs.

Cooking Steps

Let crawfish stay in the cold water for an hour.

Prepare vegetables and spices.

Fill a pan with water, put there carrots, dill, onion, chopped into several pieces, spicy red pepper, black pepper peas, coriander, bay leaf, lemon, oil, salt and bring to a boil.

Then put in the water live crawfish, cover the pan and cook for 10-15 minutes over the high heat.

Once the crawfish are cooked, let them stand for 10-15 minutes. Boiled crawfish can be served both hot and cold.
