How To Cook A Meatloaf

Many of you may think that the recipe of a meatloaf was invented recently. However, it is not so. In fact, it was first mentioned in the V century in the letter of a Roman cook to his friend. Since the recipe hasn’t changed a lot, however it has many variations. All the same, the basis of all the recipes are meat, eggs and spices.

Ingredients:

  • chicken fillet 250 g;
  • pork (fillet) 250 g;
  • salt to taste;
  • black pepper to taste;
  • spices to taste;
  • wheat flour 90 g;
  • eggs 2 pcs. 120 g;
  • onion 2 pcs. 240 g;
  • garlic clove 2 pcs. 2 g;
  • ketchup 5 ml.

Cooking Steps

Step 1. First, rinse pork and chicken fillet. Then peel two medium onions and a couple of garlic cloves.

Step 2. Mince the meat and add eggs, black pepper, flour, salt and your favorite spices.

Step 3. Mix the flavored minced meat with hands, then put it into a rectangular pan (preferably)and cover with foil. Form a kind of brick and loosely cover the future bread with foil.

Step 4. Put the pan in the hot oven and bake your delicious bread at 180 degrees. 35 minutes later, remove the bread from the oven, open the foil and glaze the top with ketchup. This will make the crust darker and more similar to that of a real loaf.

Step 5. Put the pan back in the oven and bake the bread for another 20 minutes. After switching off the oven, let the meat bread cool for a while, serve it by portions with fresh vegetables and greens at your taste.
