Hello everyone!
With the eternal love to the pom poms I have prepared this amazing DIY tutorial on how to make pom pom earrings. These are super cute and will be a perfect addition to your everyday outfits! Match them with the denim outfits or with the classy dresses. I saw a pair of earrings in the store just like the one we are going to make for a very high price. I decided that there is no need to spend that amount of money on the thing I can make at home that will be ten times cheaper. So grab the supplies and let’s get started!
Here is what you will need:
- 3/32″ brass tube
- gold filled ball post with jump ring or flat pad earring posts
- yarn
- pom pom makers
- embroidery floss
- embroidery needle
- hobby hacksaw
- needle nose pliers
- fabric shears

Start by making pom poms. In this tutorial, we are using the pom pom maker but you can simply do it with your hands if you do not have one.
If you do have the maker follow these steps:
We are using the 1″ and 1 5/8″ pom pom makers. Wrap yarn around the one part of the maker.
For dense pom poms, you will want to wrap yarn around the set of arms at least 3-4 times.
Repeat wrapping the other side them cut down the center.
Take embroidery floss and wrap it around the center of pom pom a few times. Remove the pom pom from the maker, fluff it and trim away any strays. Don’t cut the leftover floss.
2
Using a ruler and Sharpie mark the brass rod into sections. Use a hobby hacksaw to cut the tubes.
3
Thread the pom pom floss through the needle and thread it through the tube.
4
Thread it through the jump ring of the earring post. Thread the needle back through the tube to the top of pom pom.
5
Tie the floss into a double knot and trim it.
6
For double pom pom earrings, use a hot glue gun to attach the top pom pom to a flat pad earring post.
You can also use fur pom poms instead of the yarn ones.
Voila! Enjoy!
