You can buy Christmas socks, but if you make them with your own hands, it will turn out to be much more interesting. It will not take a lot of time and effort. Even a child is able to sew it. Half an hour - and unique packaging for your presents is ready.
You will need:
Firstly, you should make a pattern for the four details and the other two for the lining. Make sure that each pair is cut out in a mirror image. Fold the fabric in half, and you will get 2 details, or just flip the template. Do not forget to leave an allowance for the seam.
To make the loop, you will need a strip 18x8 cm long from the basic fabric. Next, it is necessary to put the details of the main and the inside parts together and sew them on a sewing machine. Do not forget to leave an allowance of 12 cm from the pad.
Make cuts on the front of the pad, alternating them every one or two centimeters. You need to do it because the finished product will have a straight seam. Be careful and do not damage the seam. Then, turn the product inside out and iron from the outer side.
Cut the excess fabric at a distance of half a centimeter from the seam, so the lining will have the right size and will not come out.
Prepare the loop for the sock. Fold the strip in half, leave 1 cm from the edge and sew on a sewing machine. Turn it inside out, so it will be on the front side, and iron the seam. Attach the loop to the main part using a pin.
Insert the lining into the main part. If necessary, fasten it with pins or baste the edges of details manually. Sew parts together, leaving the side seam. Turn the product inside out and sew it with a hidden seam.
Iron the sock. Finally, insert the lining and iron the finished product once again.
