How To Cook Salmon Burgers

Lovers of fish dishes are sure to like this burger. Incredibly tender, juicy taste of a fish patty is accentuated by crispy sesame seeds. White sauce with greens is a perfect addition to the fish burger. It’s an appetizing dish, it is simply impossible to resist and not to try a piece of it. Salmon burgers can be served for dinner, as they are not only very delicious, but also substantial.


  • Salmon fillet 1 piece (230 grams);
  • Bread crumbs 1/4 cup;
  • Buns 2 pcs;
  • Parsley 1 bunch;
  • Dill 1 bunch;
  • Ginger root 1 tbsp;
  • Garlic cloves 3 pcs;
  • Lemon juice 2 teaspoons;
  • Soy sauce 1 tbsp;
  • Sesame seeds to taste;
  • Lettuce 2 pieces;
  • Salt to taste;
  • Black pepper to taste;
  • Mayo to taste.

Cooking Steps

Step 1: prepare the ingredients.

To begin with, we need to prepare all the ingredients. Unpack the salmon fillet. Remove the skin and small bones. Then put the fillet on a cutting board and cut into pieces about 0.5cm (0.2’) and up to 2.5 (1’) in length. After you have cut the fish, put it into a bowl and proceed to parsley. Shredded ingredients Wash the parsley under running water, then shake it over the sink a few times removing the excess water. Put it on a cutting board and shred. Then put the shredded parsley into the bowl with fish. Peel the garlic cloves.

Wash it under running water and using a garlic press crush 2 garlic cloves in the bowl with fish and parsley, we will use later one remaining clove. Proceed to ginger. Smear the necessary amount of ginger using a fine grater and add it to other ingredients. Add to the mixture soy sauce, 1 tsp. of lemon juice, bread crumbles and sesame. Then add salt and black pepper, and mix thoroughly using a tablespoon.

Step 2: Fry patties

Form two patties from the mixture. Put a frying pan over medium heat and pour little oil. Once the oil is hot, put the patties on the pan. Fry approximately 3-4 minutes on one side, then turn with the spatula on the other side and fry another 3-4 minutes.

As a result, you should get patties with golden-brown crust. After the patties are ready, spread them on a paper kitchen towel to remove extra fat.

Step 3: cook the sauce.

Wash the dill under running water, then shake it over the sink a few times removing the excess water. Shred the dill. Put mayonnaise, chopped dill, remaining garlic clove and one teaspoon of lemon juice in a small bowl. Mix thoroughly using a tablespoon.

Step 4: form a burger.

Cut the buns in half. Put a patty on the bottom bun and cover it with one lettuce. Put sauce on the upper half of the bun and top it with lettuce. In the same way form the second burger.

Step 5: serve salmon burgers.

You can heat burgers before serve them.
