DIY minion toy

Materials which you will need: 

- felt; 

- a piece of denim or blue felt; 

- scissors; 

- thread with needles; 

- sintepon; 

- glue gun; 

- caps for glasses. 

First of all it is necessary to print a pattern of minion on a paper and to cut out all details. If you want to sew a large toy, then proportionally increase all the details of the pattern, and then transfer them to felt.

Why is it better to use felt, not colored fabric? The fact is that now in the market you can find felt of different colors and different thicknesses. 

In addition, this material is easy to use, it does not crumple, so it will appeal to even beginners. To make a toy out of felt handmade you do not need an overlock or a sewing machine, just a thread with a needle. 

Cut out the workpiece for the trunk of yellow felt. After that, make the blanks for the overall of the minion. To make your handmade toy more original, use denim fabric, you can also try to make a jumpsuit from other materials. 

From the black felt cut out the logo for the minion and fasten it on theblank for the overalls. To the workpiece for the trunk you need to sew a part of overalls. From a fabric of yellow color or felt make hands. To do this, you need to cut out rectangles that are sewn into tubes and are turned out. Attach hands with pins to the future torso and then fold the details of the torso face-to-face. Sew the trunk so that there is room for evacuation and filling the toy with a sintepon. 

Fill the workpiece with filler, and then sew the hole. Now it remains to refine the overall of the minion. To do this, from the denim fabric, sew the straps and sew them to the toy. Rivets for straps can be made of buttons or black felt. Take the iron lid, which has a thread for twisting. Cut out its bottom. Then cut the eyelids out of the felt. If you did not find the iron lid, then you can use an iron jar from a beer or other beverage.

First you need to sew or glue a bandage and eyes on the head of the minion. From felt, cut thin strips to make hair for the minion. You can also use wool for felting or thread. Hand palms are also cut out of felt and sewn. 

The legs of the minion can be sewn from jeans to create the impression of a full-fledged overalls. For this, cut rectangles from the fabric, sew on the sides and stuff with sintepon. From the black fabric, cut two circles, which sew along the edges with a stitching suture, fill with a sintepon and pull. Get the feet of the minion, which must be sewn to the legs.
