Dream catchers are one of the most fascinating traditions of Native Americans. The positive dreams would slip through the hole in the center of the dream catcher, and glide down the feathers to the sleeping person. The negative dreams would get caught up in the web, and expire with the first rays of the sun.

DIRECTIONS
Preparation of the hook. How to select the hook for a Dream catcher? Both metal and wooden Dream catcher is fine. The ring size dependents on how large you want the Dream catcher to be. You can wrap it with thread or yarn.
Take a long piece of thread and secure it onto the edge of your hook. Then put a thread between the loop you have made and the hoop. Keep going by creating an octagonal shape. Try to make equal length between joins. You can start adding beards either in symmetric order or in creative order. When you get to the end of the first circle, back where you started knotting the thread to the hoop, instead of the hoop use the first line of stitches as your anchor and keep stitching away moving to the center. Pull the thread taut.
Continue stitching clockwise. Once you get to the center, make a knot on the thread to one of the stitches and leave some length to the thread, you will use it to attach the feathers.
Preparation of the feathers. Choose the beads with wide inner hole. It should be wide enough to fix the feather inside the bead. Bead the beads and fix the feathers with glue.
Leave your handicraft till the glue dries and leave it on sunny place.
