American Version (Double Crochet)

1. Make the base chain. Make a row of loops that will form the base before knitting the double crochet. Make a slipknot and put it on the crotchet.

2. Make a turning loop. The loops is required to raise the yarn to begin the next row.

3. Make a double crochet. It is twice taller than the single crochet. Its height is like that because you need to make three chain stitches for the turning loop.

British Version (single Crochet)
