Wire wrap weave, OBX wampum pendant

The shell I chose to create this lovely pendant from, was beach combed from the beaches on the Outer banks of North Carolina. I chose the shell with the most purple coloring, the most vibrant color in this beach combed batch. I used 20ga gold tone non-tarnish wire for the base wires and 24ga gold tone non-tarnish wire for the weave. Once my weave for the framing and bail was fitted to the lovely purple shell, I thought it was befitting to add a wire wrapped fresh water pearl to this awesome piece.
