I thought that I would create a few more of these since the response on social media was such a hit with the first one I had created. I am so excited to present to you another one of my favorite projects to create...Butterfly's When I am at a Bead and Rock show, I am always snooping out treasures for me to create with...in this case, I had it in my head I wanted Abalone...Every year so far the "Treasures of the Earth" bead and rock show has come to Virginia Beach, Virginia or to Hampton, Virginia...which is awesome for me...I get to snoop out treasures...In July of this year I found two Abalone pieces...I wanted to create this awesome butterfly just for you... When creating this, I used 20ga gold tone wire for the base framework and 26ga gold tone wire for the weave. Each Abalone shell was woven separately, then merged together to form the butterfly wings.
