About me
Hi and welcome to Sassy Sacha Jewelry!
I have always had a great passion for art. I grew up in a home in a rural Newfoundland town with both of my parents being artists and crafters. After high school, I moved to St. John's, Newfoundland where I started my education for being a navigation officer. After graduation I went on to sail all over the world onboard some of the biggest cruise ships in the world.
My colorful jewelry is influenced by the beauty and diversity in the world. I often use white polymer clay because I love to color it and paint it myself. The blues in my pieces remind me of the stunning blues in the Caribbean and Mediterranean seas. The vibrant reds and yellows bring me back to South American and Africa. My pieces don’t just represent one place, they represent diversity of the world combined.
Sassy Sacha Jewelry started when I decided to make something unique for Christmas for my family and friends. One year I had made paintings, the next hand painted kitchen dishes and then it was jewelry. I fell in love while making them jewelry. It combined my love for painting and designing and I loved giving each person something truly unique.
This year for Christmas, I will be purchasing unique gifts from other makers. There really isn’t anything better than giving a gift that’s handmade with love! xo
