WELCOME to MAIRIDESIGN I hope you enjoy browsing through my stained glass and jewellery designs. I like working with different colours of glass to create artwork that the sun loves to play with. That moment, when the sun's rays project a little dance of colour through a finished design, is truly magical. I also enjoy collecting sea glass and have begun making jewellery from these beautiful gifts from the sea - recycling at its best. I also like to recycle greetings cards into jewellery for everyday and seasonal gifts. MY GOAL To create lovely decorations for the home or the body for others to admire. I'm eternally humbled that my work is appreciated and people enjoy including them in their own lives. QUALITY CRAFTSMANSHIP FROM A QUALIFIED DESIGNER I began some moons ago in Scotland and created many pieces for restaurants, pubs and private homes. So, next time you're in an old pub or restaurant in Scotland, look around - I may have left behind a little piece of me in the glasswork, allowing the darkness and light to dance a merry dance, just for you. I left Glasgow behind to absorb myself in the beauty of Prague, where I love taking photos of the beautiful architecture and teach English when I'm not in the studio. I have a BA Honours Degree, in Silversmithing & Jewellery Design, from Glasgow School of Art and have worked as a graphic designer, stained glass designer and retail manager.
