On one of my last trips to the rock and gem show that was in my area this year, I purchased this flat, round Sodalite gemstone. Holding it towards the light you can see its little bits of sparkle within the stone. When creating this pendant and necklace, I started with a basket weave flat base for its backside. Once the back weave was completed, I then moved on to the framing if the stone...I created a wire wrap weave frame that turned into a jump off point for me to be creative with its face and bail. After the pendant was completed, I created the wire wrapped Sodalite links to create the necklace. Once the whole project was totally finished, I thought it looked "Royal" or "Regal", something someone from the medieval and Victorian era might have worn...you choose which...hence its name, "From the Kings bloodline".
