Welcome to MagpiesNUnicorns!. My name is Michele and I am the creator & designer of the jewelry featured in my store. I love making jewelry and after teaching myself the art of metalworking. I became interested in working primarily in sterling silver as well as different types of finishes and techniques. I like the way silver ages over time like a relic from a past century. Magpies have a reputation of being attracted to shiny things and of course being inquisitive by nature they are drawn to objects which capture their attention. This is one of the reasons I so wanted to incorporate "magpie" into the name of my Etsy store. The hope is that my shiny creations will also attract you to explore the many different jewellery items which I offer. Additionally unicorns have been described as a symbol of purity and goodness and the personification of untamed freedom. It is these qualities which I admire and hope that the spirit of untamed freedom is reflected in my work and in those who are drawn to wear my jewelry .
