Want to learn more about creating links between youth, craft and heritage experiences through one-on-one interaction with artists? Look no further – they are partnering with False Creek Community Centre to offer a woodworking session for youth aged 12-17.
When: January 21, 12-3pm
Where: Granville Island
Learn how the artists use wood to create beautiful handmade objects! This 3-hour session will introduce participants to three artists creating art using wood. No experience is required. Participants will start by exploring the Craft Council of BC shop – Crafthouse – and will be introduced to contemporary craft from local BC artists. They will then visit three local artists on Granville Island, and end the session at False Creek Community Centre.
