BEGINNING BASKETRY - THE BASIC MARKET BASKET with Irene Smith

Española Valley Fiber Arts Center invites to a master-class where you can learn how to make a handmade baskets. Once you master the basics, you can use your skills to vary the size, dimensions, color and design of your baskets as you please. In this course, which will be held on Tuesday, September,19th you will learn: measuring stakes, weaving and truing the base, start-stop weaving, and how to apply a rim. The teacher of the course: Irene Smith. She has a 40-years old practice in creating baskets and will teach you it with pleasure! The master class will be held from 10 am to 5 pm and will cost 90$ for non-memebers of Art Center. Come and have fun doing something with your own hands!
